The AURORA KMS by AIT is well known for the innovative ETSI GS QKD 004 derived push mode API, where a QKD device can transfer generated keys immediately to the KMS, therefore key handling and management is offloaded to the KMS. This has first been published as a concept in the related paper, now the full API specification up to the last details was published open source on GitHub.
The specification is published via an OpenAPI description for developers to quickly test, and have everything unambiguously documented up to the last data type and format. Static renders as github pages or PDF are also provided for easier reading. The API showed its strengths in several research projects, such as DISCRETION, ANQuOR and eCAUSIS. It is not an official ETSI specification and has no support nor affiliation with ETSI.

This open source API specification is an effort to foster unified interfaces. If issues in the specification are found, feel free to open new issues at the corresponding issues page.
