The DISCRETION project was concluded successfully in time. It was one of the projects that substantially contributed to the success of the KMS research and development efforts at AIT. The team thanks the competent consortium and highly skilled individual researchers with whom we had the pleasure to work together. As a treat the final presentation of the project included a showcase of all system components developed including QKD layer, KMS, SDN, SDR and Cipher Machine.
DISCRETION showcased Software Defined Network (SDN) managed Quantum Key Distribution Networks (QKDN) for military applications such as Software Defined Radios (SDR) and encryptor Cipher Machines (CM). AIT contributed with KMS expertise, but also contributed as a Workpackage Lead for the testing activity and technical preparations for showcases. Further AIT contributed with their expertise in QKD, PQC and SDN to different areas of the project.
