The Petrus project organized just as 2024 and 2023 a big EuroQCI showcase and AIT participated with showcasing the AURORA KMS and SDN suite. Further the experts at AIT were heavily involved in the technical planning and designing the system architecture modeled as EuroQCI alongside the colleagues of UPM and HDA.
The Austrian Domain this time consisted of 3 nodes, one system of Q*Bird and one from Fraunhofer HHI. In Austria the Arnika VPN by CANCOM established a quantum secure VPN to the Spanish domain on the application layer. This key could either be established via a terrestrial or via a simulated space link. The inter domain integration was possible due to excellent collaboration with UPM.
This year was the biggest EuroQCI showcase in the scope of the Petrus project, consisting of 9 QKD providers, 8 KMS technology providers and 7 interconnected domains, including two simulated space links. An amazing collaboration of the whole team made this endeavor possible.
